Project Shine

Date: July 12-26, 2008

Place: 楊東 Yeung Dong Senior high School (Shanghai, Banshan District)

Project Shine is a two week English teaching program that takes you to Yeung Dong Senior high School in the Baoshan District where under-privileged students and teachers are waiting for a summer of learning and friendship with you.

In September 2007, CRRS established the first Migrant Workers Senior High School , and began to sponsor 80 students ' tuition fee per school year.

You can make a difference in these students ' lives through Project Shine in the summer of 2008!

In terms of qualification for joining Project Shine:

You must be 17 years of age or older, you must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently at a grade 11 level. And most importantly, a heart to serve.

Qualification for English teachers:

- 17 years or older

- Can read, write, and speak English fluently

- A heart to serve

Project Shine includes training, room and board, travel insurance, curriculum + certificates for students in China, and most uniquely, you will have a chance to pay visits to student ' s home and get to know their life stories. That in itself will be a life changing experience for us as North Americans.

Early bird registration is 1600.00 (CAD), deadline is Frbeuary 29 th , 2008

Regular registration is 1800.00 (CAD), deadline is May 1 st , 2008.

We are only accepting 12 students, please register with us as soon as possible!

The need for better quality of education is urgent. Your participation in Project Shine will help advance their quality of English and truly help these students achieve a better chance to enter university in the future.
